Drywall Pro-Cut’s apprenticeship program exemplifies our commitment to nurturing talent and shaping the future of the construction industry. By providing hands-on experience and comprehensive training, we ensure that our apprentices are not just prepared for the job at hand but are fully equipped for a thriving career in onsite environments.
A Stepping Stone to Mastery
Our apprenticeship pathway serves as a stepping stone for individuals aspiring to master the intricacies of drywall construction. The Site Ready course offered by British Gypsum is just the beginning. On completion, apprentices receive a NOCN CSkills Level 2 Certificate Plaster Skimmer, marking their journey from learners to masters of their craft.
Leading offsite drywall construction manufacturer Drywall Pro Cut have had their two apprentices turn into full time employees.
Leading provider of offsite construction products, Drywall Pro Cut are proud to announce that their two apprentices are now working full-time in onsite environments.
After completing a 6 week Site Ready course from British Gypsum, in which successful students receive a recognised ‘NOCN CSkills Level 2 Certificate Plaster Skimmer’, the two apprentices came on to work with the team at Drywall Pro Cut. One of the two is now forging a career in site supervision.
Will Hart, Chief Executive of Drywall Pro-Cut said: ‘Training team members through apprenticeships offers great rewards to the company and the individuals and enables us to produce consistent high quality offsite construction products.’
Training Partnerships Director, Dave Hall, said:
“The course has now been taught through both our own and other specialist training academies for over a year – and with amazing feedback. Seeing the results it delivers and knowing that it would help address the skills gap within the industry we were confident that it was time to begin discussions with NOCN to develop it into a nationally recognised qualification.”
The Real Faces of Construction
The ‘new faces of construction’ campaign, featuring our apprentices, showcases the vibrant and dynamic nature of the construction industry today. It’s a celebration of fresh talent and new perspectives, highlighting the diverse opportunities available within the sector.
Vijay Baines, one of the apprentices with Drywall, recently did a photoshoot for the British Gypsum website as part of a ‘new faces of construction’ campaign.
Vijay Baines stated:
“The reason I chose to go into this trade was the flexibility of working all over the country and the different projects we get to go on I find very interesting.”
Continuous Learning and Growth
At Drywall Pro-Cut, learning never stops. Full-time employment is just another phase of growth. Whether it’s advancing to site supervision or exploring innovative construction techniques, our environment fosters continuous learning.
Extending Our Gratitude
We extend our gratitude to our clients and partners who have supported our apprenticeship program. Your trust allows us to invest in the next generation of construction professionals, ensuring that the future of the industry remains in skilled hands.
